the point of the paint job was to make it uniform without breaking the bank. i did most of the body work myself, and did not want to pay an extra few grand for perfect body work as this is just for driving around when the daily driver TT is getting major work done (or if someone just needs a car to drive). with the body in the shape it was in, a gloss black would have been tooooo revealing. maybe these will help:
 on a different note, in a few years when the 94 2+2 TT is ready for a paint job, she will be getting the perfect body work and high gloss finish paint job.
